Marketing Events Team Leader

Sarah’s responsibilities have grown enormously since she first came to Corin in 1998, in line with the company’s increasingly prestigious surgeon education programme and the need to deliver meticulously-organised and well-managed events. 

In her previous role with the Royal International Air Tattoo, Sarah built up considerable experience in running large-scale, high-profile events, including the annual air display. During her first position with Corin, as PA to the Sales Director, this skill-set was soon discovered and tapped into, and it wasn’t long before she moved into her current dedicated event-management role in 2001. 

Assisted by a small and able team, Sarah is responsible for the organisation and on-site management of a wide range of national and international exhibitions, as well as a large number of surgeon training events – from five-day cadaveric workshops and short instructional courses to international educational conferences. This involves identifying suitable venues, booking transport and accommodation for delegates, liaising with surgeons regarding the event programme, as well as numerous other logistical details. 

“I face plenty of challenges on a daily basis as no two events are ever the same – you need to be able to think on your feet!“ says Sarah. “However, my role has given me the opportunity to travel and meet a lot of interesting people, and it is always immensely rewarding when you receive positive feedback from delegates after the event”.
