Stefan Auth
Product Manager, Germany
Stefan first came to work for Corin in 2007 – he is responsible for managing Corin’s hip and ankle portfolio for the Group’s German subsidiary. Stefan’s job provides him with plenty of variety, something he enjoys – analysing sales data, liaising with customers to review results, organising training sessions and cadaveric workshops, and supporting the salesforce.
Stefan previously studied biomedical engineering in Germany, where he undertook specialised secondments at University Hospital Birmingham in the UK and at the University of St. Etienne in France. When he first graduated he was appointed as medical engineer into a multidisciplinary team at the Charité in Berlin, working on a research programme for the European Union, treating patients of fulminant liver disease with a prototype of bioartificial liver support.
He later joined the cranio maxillo facial implants section of Stryker Leibinger as Project Manager of Research and Development (R&D), where he developed sets of implants and instruments, predominantly for the US market. By appointment as the R&D manager to a German company specialising in spine products, he further expanded his expertise in the development of products for the US. In his duties as Quality Assurance Manager and Head of the R&D team, he prepared and implemented Food and Drug Administration (FDA) submissions.
When he’s not working, Stefan Auth enjoys spending time with his family and keeping fit by mountain biking, road biking and skating.
