Business Development Manager – Eastern Region, UK
Stephen joined the UK sales team in 2009 in a newly created role as Business Development Manager, covering the eastern side of the country. Managing a team of sales representatives and with responsibility for identifying and securing new accounts for Corin, the role is critical in growing Corin’s core business.
Stephen was a UK product manager for DePuy Orthopaedics, prior to joining Corin, covering the company’s hip, knee and extremities portfolio. With accountabilities including staff training and surgeon education, he was responsible for supporting the wider sales process for larger target accounts.
His career background before this spans 15 years and includes a number of different positions within medical sales and medical device product management – within both the orthopaedic and pharmaceutical sectors. Stephen feels this has allowed him a broad understanding of the healthcare market and how to work with it to achieve sales objectives. He has also supported the wealth of experience he has built up through studying for an MBA at Warwick University Business School.
Stephen says that he was attracted to his current job for a number of reasons: “Corin has a strong portfolio and a good calibre of people. Corin is recognised within the marketplace as having many strengths and real potential, and is considered by its customers as a reputable company. It is in an especially exciting place at the moment – it has real potential to grow its income with the products in its portfolio and the concepts in its pipeline.
