Oxford
Shoulder Replacement
The Oxford Shoulder has been designed so that the prosthesis replaces the humeral head as anatomically as possible.
- The humeral stem shape closely matches the medullary canal of the humerus, allowing a press-fit for uncemented use.
- The shorter humeral stem provides an improved fit in the metaphyseal region.
- The design of the humeral head mimics the normal head, provides good articulation with the glenoid, and prevents excessive impingement on the under surface of the acromiom.
Instrumentation for the Oxford Shoulder has been meticulously developed over many years and provides the surgeon with a simple system which allows reproducible results.
