Cormet
Advanced Hip Resurfacing System
Clinically proven through multi-surgeon, multi-centre data, Cormet shows 96.2%
survivorship at nine years(1). With over 16,000 cementless resurfacings implanted
since 2004, Cormet is clinically-proven fully cementless hip resurfacing(2,3,4).
Bone conservation
With a choice of cementless or cemented applications, the close
fitting geometry of the Cormet femoral component minimises
the need for bone removal.
Favourable femoral loading
The polished distal tip of the Cormet resurfacing allows favourable
loading and is designed to minimise stress shielding of the femoral neck.
Acetabular stability
The equatorially expanded acetabular component gives excellent
initial stability, with clinically proven Bi-coat and anti-rotational fins
providing excellent primary stability.
Increased range of motion
Cormet resurfacing and Optimom large diameter articulations provide
stability through a reduced incidence of dislocation and optimised
head-neck ratio, maximising range of motion(2).
Versatility
The implant size range allows the surgeon a range of choices. The resurfacing head diameters are available in 40-56mm in 2mm increments but still allow for two acetabular options for each head, enabling greater intra-operative flexibility.
