Cormet
Advanced Hip Resurfacing System

Cormet Precision instrumentation promotes reproducible implant orientation, building on experience and innovation dating back to 1991.
Corin pioneered the first ever neck centring alignment device, facilitating minimal access surgery and accurate reproducible femoral component positioning. It eliminates the need for a lateral pin and allows a smaller incision to be used in both standard and smaller incision approaches, reducing tissue damage and potentially improving post-operative recovery times. The instruments are simple to use, reducing operating time and allowing more accurate, reproducible placement of the femoral resurfacing component.
Reproducible and accurate acetabular
placement is achieved through the
unique, patented technology of the simple vacuum introducer. Standard theatre suction is used to attach the cup to the introducer for implantation of the acetabular component, which enables re-orientation of the cup prior to final impaction.
All the instruments are designed for use in both standard and small incision surgery in an intuitive and user-friendly method. They are intended for use with all resurfacing approaches including posterior, antero-lateral and the modified ganz (trochanteric flip).
