TriFit
Total Hip Replacement System
An evolution of the successful CTiII hip which has been in clinical use since 1988, TriFit has improved coating technology to enhance cementless fixation and modern instrumentation to facilitate implantation.
Other key features include:
- Bi-planar proximal stem geometry – the stem is tapered in both the A-P and M-L planes, providing optimised proximal fill and proximal loading.
- The TriFit hip system is manufactured from forged titanium alloy, enhancing fatigue resistance and biocompatibility.
- The addition of hydroxyapatite coating onto a titanium porous coating enhances cementless fixation.
- Longitudinal grooves on the proximal third further increase the available surface area and bone in-growth into these grooves, may help to reduce implant migration and may promote rotational stability.
The TriFit instrumentation allows for accurate and reproducible results. The surgical technique is made simpler with a patented introducer promoting correct stem alignment at the time of stem introduction. TriFit stems can be used with Corin Cenator (cemented) or Trinity acetabular cups.
