Prof Tim Whitehead

Prof Tim Whitehead specialises in knee surgery. He has special interest in sporting injuries, as well as complex knee procedures such as re-alignment osteotomy and the management of the dislocated knee. He is an experienced knee arthroplasty surgeon who uses navigation and robotic assistive technology.
Prof Whitehead is heavily involved in research and is a director of the OrthoSport Victoria Research Institute (OSVi). He has won several awards for research and speaks regularly at local and international meetings. He is extremely active at local, regional and international levels and holds positions within several groups and societies, including the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Associaton, ISAKOS, the ACL Study Group and the Australian Knee Society.
Tim uses ApolloKnee™ and captures data with the BalanceBot™. He is currently using this data for further research through the OSVi gait lab, of which he is a founder and director.
