During times of crisis, most companies focus on sustaining their businesses by cutting costs, particularly training and development programs. We understand people development, training and team building are more important now than ever.

At Corin, Training isn’t just important, it is vital. Its is essential to continue and leverage this down time with training initiatives and more - to review, adapt, plan and invest in people and the company’s future - so that we are in the best possible position to connect more deeply with our customers and support their patients  as the healthcare sector slowly resumes elective joint replacement surgeries.

To support our employees skills and knowledge bases and provide them with ongoing regular contact to help protect their mental wellbeing, we built a high-quality learning curriculum by identifying knowledge gaps and learning opportunities at advancing levels of understanding and insight.

Corin Academy, the educational arm of Corin Group, was established to provide a wide range of training initiatives both internally and externally to meet the changing needs of the global orthopaedic community. Our comprehensive training and development programs help our employees have streamlined access to knowledge enabling them to learn, develop greater insights and perform at a higher level. We understand our employees’ individual needs and the Corin Academy provides avenues to help them achieve their career goals.

Over the past 10 weeks, we have successfully completed in excess of 200 sessions with more than 10,000 training hours globally on a wide array of topics ranging from spino pelvic mobility and the Optimized Positioning System (OPS™) to understanding the techniques of soft tissue balancing using OMNIBotics™ Corin’s advanced proprietary robotically assisted technology, as well as gaining a deeper knowledge of our diverse clinically proven implant ranges.

Learning and development is more critical now than ever before. This unique point in time presents a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base of all our employees so that they in turn can provide deeper insights to our clients for their patients benefit. We focused on rethinking the learning experience through digital solutions as an optimised means of fostering collaboration during enforced social distancing, it has also fostered closer peer to peer support and will enhance meaningful connections with our customers moving forward.

"Our training programs provide opportunities to empower, educate and elevate the knowledge base of our employees. We thank our Global teams and recognise the continued commitment, hard work and the collective efforts of our every member of the Corin family without which this accomplishment would not have been possible” said our Global Professional Education Manager, Brian Lambton.
