Dear Corin surgeon community, friends,
Over the last few weeks, we have seen unprecedented measures aimed at controlling the coronavirus pandemic.
As I write this letter, millions of people and organisations across the world are impacted by the virus and grappling with the actions designed to mitigate its effects.
Here at Corin, we all recognise the extraordinary pressures that will be placed on our valued surgeon community during the weeks and months ahead. As healthcare professionals, many of you will be on the frontline, helping those most affected by COVID-19. In many countries, elective orthopaedic surgeries are being postponed or cancelled, resulting in uncertainty and significant challenges for you, your institutions and your patients.
Clearly, this is a very difficult and uncertain time for everyone. However, we are not losing sight of the importance of our work and the need to continue. Our Global and Local Planning Committees are constantly monitoring developments and implementing measures to ensure continuity of the service we provide to you. Over the last few weeks, we have acted quickly and decisively with a number of actions which will put us in good stead over the coming months, especially from an operational and supply chain perspective.
I want to give you my personal assurance that Corin remains fully committed to supporting you through this immensely difficult period. I am proud to lead one of the best, most professional and dedicated teams in the industry. We are all facing this situation together, and everyone at Corin stands ready and able to support you through the challenges which lie ahead.
We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and we look forward to our continued work together over the months ahead.
CEO, Corin Group.
